Selection process

Composers who were born after December 31, 1997, can apply to participate in the composition workshop Komponieren in HIMMLISCHER HÖHE. Only digital applications via the registration form in German or English will be accepted until October 31, 2023. The application must include an artistic CV and a letter of motivation. Composers who are minors must also submit a declaration of consent to participate in the composition workshop Komponieren in HIMMLISCHER HÖHE by a legal guardian with their application. Incomplete applications or applications that do not meet the requirements will not be considered.

The jury meetings for the allocation of a maximum of seven places in the composition workshop Komponieren in HIMMLISCHER HÖHE to young composers take place immediately after the application deadline. Selected composers will be invited to participate in the composition workshop Komponieren in HIMMLISCHER HÖHE by November 30, 2023, at the latest. By accepting this invitation, the composers commit themselves to taking part in the three-day workshop in Linz.

The decision of the jury is final and incontestable. Any legal recourse is excluded in all matters relating to the composition workshop Komponieren in HIMMLISCHER HÖHE.
